About Wongu Health Center

OMD-led acupuncture, cupping, and herbal medicine care for Southern Nevada.

Oriental Medicine Care for Southern Nevada

Wongu Health Center is the teaching clinic of Wongu University of Oriental Medicine — Nevada's first and only accredited graduate institution dedicated to educating future OMDs. Our mission is to provide attentive acupuncture, cupping, and herbal medicine care while training the next generation of practitioners.

Today, our clinic is led by licensed OMDs and supported by supervised graduate interns. Every intern diagnosis and treatment plan is reviewed by an OMD before care is delivered.

We also maintain an herbal dispensary for patients who may benefit from custom formulas, herbal teas, pills, powders, tinctures, or topical preparations as part of their care plan.

Traditional Herbal Medicine, Prepared With Care

Many patients know us for acupuncture, but Chinese herbal medicine is also an important part of what we offer. During your visit, an OMD or supervised intern may recommend an herbal formula or tea to support your treatment between appointments.

Our dispensary carries classical formulas and individual herbs that may be prepared as teas, pills, powders, tinctures, or topical preparations. Patients receive guidance on what to take, how to take it, and when to follow up.

Because herbs are selected for the individual, we recommend asking your practitioner before purchasing or starting a formula on your own.

Custom Formulas

Herbal recommendations are matched to your symptoms, constitution, and treatment goals after an evaluation.

Herbal Teas

Patients can ask about teas and decoctions that may fit their care plan and daily routine.

Take-Home Support

Formulas can help continue your care between appointments when your practitioner recommends them.

Practitioner Guidance

Your practitioner will explain dosing, timing, and follow-up so herbal care feels clear and safe.

Ask During Your Visit

If you are interested in herbal teas or formulas, mention it when you schedule or during your appointment. Your practitioner can explain whether herbal medicine is a good fit for your current goals.

A Practical Part of Care

Herbal medicine can be a simple way to support treatment outside the clinic. We want more patients to know that formulas and teas are available here, not only acupuncture.
